Tariff and Visa

With the exception of travelers from India and Bangladesh, all visitors to Bhutan require a visa. Visas are only issued when a confirmed booking through a Bhutanese or International tour operator has been made. Visa procurement is done via the tour operator. Four weeks before the start of a tour the visa application of each client must be sent by fax/email. If you do not have the visa form sends in passport particulars: Full Name, Nationality, Permanent Address, Occupation/Profession, Passport Number, Place and Date of Issue, Date of Validity, Place and Date of Birth, and passport size photo.

Tour deposit must be made four weeks in advance by wire transfer in the address mention.
The visa will be faxed to you for your reference and a copy will be sent to the visa officer in the entry point as well to the Druk-Air Bhutan airlines, Tashi-Air Bhutan lines   station officer in different country. Without the visa you may not be allowed to board the flight

Visa Information. Minimum Daily Package Details

The minimum daily package rate covers the following services.

  • A minimum of 3 star accommodation (4 & 5 star may require an additional premium).
    • All meals
    • A licensed Bhutanese tour guide for the extent of your stay
    • All internal transport (excluding internal flights)
    • Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours

It also includes:
• All internal taxes and charges
• A sustainable tourism levy (Royalty) of $65. This levy goes towards free education, free healthcare, poverty alleviation, along with the building of infrastructure.

The minimum daily package for tourists travelling in a group of 3 persons or more is as follows:

– USD $200 per person per night for the months of January, February, June, July, August, and December.
– USD $250 per person per night for the months of March, April, May, September, October, and November.

These rates are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan.

On the day of departure, the ‘local agents’ host obligation shall be limited to providing breakfast only and any extra requirements shall be payable on usage basis.

The Royal Government of Bhutan sets minimum daily package rate and it must be paid in US dollars prior to arrival in Bhutan.


Tourists travelling in a group of two (2) persons or less shall be subject to a surcharge, in addition to the minimum daily package rates.

These are as follows:

Single individual – US$ 40 per night

Group of 2 persons only – US$ 30 per person per night

The 10% agency commission payable to agents abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge.

Visa Information

With the exception of visitors from India, Bangladesh and Maldives, all other visitors to Bhutan need a visa.

Indian, Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can obtain a visa or entry permit at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC).

All other tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior to travel to Bhutan. Visas are processed through an online system by your licensed Bhutanese tour operator, directly or through a foreign travel agent.

You are required to send the photo-page of your passport to your tour operator who will then apply for your visa. The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account. Once received the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours.

At your point of entry you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport. For the more details contact us with mail.


(NB – For the tourists, hotel charges up to USD $45-50 per person per night will be covered from the daily tariff. But those who wish to avail hotel services above that range; they have to bear the extra charges. Air fare is not included in the tariff.)

  1. Motor Cycle Hired Tour Charges is USD $180 per person per day, including full fuel and all.
  2. Bike Hired Tour Charges is USD $ 80 per person per day.
  3. Bird Watching Tour Charges is USD $150 per person per day excluding the charges of the camping. If one wants to camp then they have to pay USD $200 per person per day.
  4. Wedding Couple Married Tour Charges is USD $300 per person per day with the Bhutanese traditional ceremonies (Bhutanese singing and dance performances with the people, Bhutanese rituals, wearing of our National Dress and all).
  5. For Trekking Charges is USD $ 170 to 190 per person per day
  6. For Home Stay with farmers, Culture Study and Work Tour, not need to pay any extra charges.
  7. More than 9 persons per trip, we will provide free cultural show (mask dance and folk dance).

  9. The above 50% and 100% off is entitled to the tour leaders.
  10. The extra supplement is applicable based on the request in the infrastructure and services like:
  11. A) Staying in the luxury hotels or upgrade to the superior class in the standard hotel
  12. b) Request for JSG (Japanese Speaking Guide) and German Speaking Guide and other specific languages than English, one has to pay USD $100 USD per person and USD $50 for more than 2 people. If you need other language guide like your language guide you need to pay extra charges. For English guide you don’t have to pay. The above cost includes:
