DETAILED ITINEARY

DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT PARO-THIMPHU

On your arrival you will be received by Guide and driver from Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek (BDTT) And then visit National Museum (known as Ta Dzong since it has been turned into National Museum, was the watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17th century)Paro Dzong (also known as Rinpung dzong is the venue for the annual Paro Tsechu festival held every spring). Lunch in Paro town and then transfer to Thimphu,the capital city of Bhutan. On reaching Thimphu check in hotel Overnight at THIMPHU

 DAY 02:THIMPHU-SIGHTSEEING

Breakfast and visit Memorial Chorten(the stupa built n 1974 in the memory of our third king Jigme Dorji Wang chuck).and then visit Tashichho dzong(the fortress of the glorious religion, houses the throne room of his majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monastic body. Lunch in Thimphu town and after lunch visit Painting School (Commonly known as the Painting School, the Institute offers you a glimpse of novices learning 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. It is a hands-on trip for you. Enjoy few moments with the future artists of the country.) And then visit Folk heritage Museum (This museum provides glimpse into the traditional Bhutanese life.).Overnight at Thimphu

DAY 03: THIMPHU-PUNAKHA

Breakfast in Hotel transfer to Punakha is about 3 hours from Thimphu via Dochula pass at 3150m; one can have a magnificent view of Eastern Himalayas on the clear weather from the pass. Further down hill drive from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley.On the way Hike to Chhimi Lhakhang (the monastery of fertility). Lunch in Khuruthang Town and after lunch Visit Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD). And that at evening drive towards Wangdi. Overnight at Wangdi

DAY 04: PUNAKHA-GANGTEY GOMPA

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to Gangtey.On reaching Gangtey visit Gangtey Gompa Monastery and Black Necked Crane information center in Phobjikha valley (the wintering home for the black necked crane).And visit Norsang Carpet Factory (Established in 1992 by a local woman, it has a small hall housing eight weaving). Overnight at GANGTEY

DAY 05: GANGTEY-HAA

Early Breakfast in hotel and drive back to Haa. Overnight at Haa.

DAY 06: HAA-PARO

Breakfast in hotel and visit lhakhang Nagpo and lhakhang karpo.The central shrine in Lhakhang Nagpo is said to have no difference with that of Lhasa JOWO in Tibet. The construction of the Lakhang Karpo is believed to have been assisted by the locality. Further erosion towards the paro,on reaching paro visit Dumtselhakhang (The unusual and circular lhakhang, reminiscent of the Shana, or the black hat worn by the Bhutanese Black Hat dancers was, built by the great Builder of iron chain bridges, Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo.).Overnight at paro

DAY 07: TAKTSHANG MONASTERY HIKE

Breakfast in hotel and drive till the hiking point to Taktshang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), round trip hike to Taktshang monastery which is about 3-4 hours from the car point. Lunch at the cafeteria (view point).After lunch sightseeing of Drugyel dzong (the fortress in ruins built in commemoration over Tibetan invasion in 17th century.And then drive back via same route and then visit Kichu lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, which dates back to 7th century before Buddhism came to Bhutan).Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan Overnight at PARO

DAY 07: DEPARTURE

Breakfast in hotel and then drive to airport the next destination. See off by the guide and the driver from the Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek.
