Rhododendron Festival celebrates the rhododendron garden walk and exhibition, local culture and cuisines, arts and crafts, traditional games, cultural program, guided walks and activities. The festival showcases different species that are in full bloom in their natural habitat. Of the 46 rhododendron species recorded in the country, 29 are found in Lamperi Botanical Park, 35km from Thimphu.

Day 01: Arrive at Paro International Airport, Paro-Thimphu

On your arrival you will be received by Guide and driver from Bhutan Dendroium Tour and Trek (BDTT) And then visit National Museum (known as Ta Dzong) since it has been turned into National Museum, was the watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17thcentury) Paro Dzong (also known as Rinpung dzong is the venue for the annual Paro Tsechu festival held every spring). Lunch in Paro town and then transfer To Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On reaching Thimphu check in hotel.Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Breakfast in hotel and then visit to Memorial Chorten (this stupa was built in 1974 in memory of the late majesty the 3rd king).After that you will take to Buddha point,from their you will have nice view of Thimphu town.Lunch in town.After the lunch visit Takin Preserveat Motithang and Hike to WangdiTse Temple (built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1586) is about 1hours from the car point. From There you will have bird eye view Thimphu Town (capital of Bhutan).And evening free time in Town Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

Breakfast in hotel after sightseeing in Thimphu visit Changangka Lhakhang Monastery which was built in 15th century by the high saint Phajo Drugom Shigpo.Zilukha Nunnery, to see nuns reciting prayers National Library where it houses a vast collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts and texts including the imprinted and archaic text of Bhutanese history and then visit Tashichho dzong(the fortress of the glorious religion, houses the throne room of his majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monastic body. Lunch in Thimphu town and after lunch visit Painting School (Commonly known as the Painting School, the Institute offers you a glimpse of novices learning 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. It is a hands-on trip for you. Enjoy few moments with the future artists of the country.) And then visit Folk heritage Museum (This museum provides glimpse into the traditional Bhutanese life.).Overnight at Thimphu

Day 04: Thimphu to Punakha

Breakfast in Hotel after breakfast transfer to Punakha is about 3 hours from Thimphu via Dochula pass at 3150m; one can have a magnificent view of Eastern Himalayas on the clear weather from the pass. And then we take a short hike to Lamperi Botanical Garden through the Rhododendron Park to have stunning festival of Rhododendron, and Lunch at Lamperi Botanical Park after lunch drive to Punakha. Further down hill drive from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley. On the way Hike to Chhimi Lhakhang (the monastery of fertility).Lunch in Khuruthang Town and after lunch Visit Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD). And that at evening drive towards Punakha. Overnight at Punakha

Day 05: Punakha to Gangtey-Phobjikha

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to Gangtey.On reaching Gangtey visit Gangtey Gompa Monastery and Black Necked Crane information center in Phobjikha valley (the wintering home for the black necked crane).And visit Norsang Carpet Factory (Established in 1992 by a local woman, it has a small hall housing eight weaving). Overnight at Gangtey

Day 06: Phobjikha to Lamparri

Day 07: Lapmpari to Haa

Breakfast in hotel after breakfast transfer to haa on the way to haa visit lhakhang Nagpo and lhakhang karpo.The central shrine in Lhakhang Nagpo is said to have no difference with that of Lhasa JOWO in Tibet. The construction of the Lakhang Karpo is believed to have been assisted by the locality. And after that visit haa Dzong and free time in haa town. Overnight at Haa

Day 08: Haa to Paro

Breakfast at hotel after breakfast transfer to Paro when you drive from haa to Paro via Chelila pass (3,889 m) and if the weather is clear, you will have a spectacular glimpse of Haa valley.And paro valley also you can catch a magnificent view of Jhomolhari, mountain of goddess which is about 7,315m high (the second highest peak in Bhutan) and Jichu Drake which is about 6,794m high.  En-route, you will get immense opportunities to take photographs. On the way to Paro visit Nishioka Chorten,(the stupa built in memory of late Dasho Nishioka, a Japanese citizen who had served in the service of agriculture for 28 years in Bhutan),on the way stop at the Bondey village for the view of Paddy field (TANADA). And then visit Dumtse lhangkhang, The monastery was built in 1421 (other sources say 1433) by an eminent Tibetan lama named Thangtong Gyalpo (1385–1464), also known as Chagzampa, after that visit Sangchen chokor Monstery in Paro. (It takes 50minutes drive from Paro town. From there we can see the beautiful view of the Paro town).Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan. Overnight at Paro

Day 09: Paro Taktsang Hiking

Breakfast in hotel after breakfast drive till the hiking point to Taktshang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), round trip hike to Taktshang monastery which is about 3-4 hours from the car point.Lunch at the cafeteria (view point). Lunch in Cafeteria and after lunch sightseeing of Drugyel dzong (the fortress in ruins built in commemoration over Tibetan invasion in 17th century). And then drive back via same route and then visit Kichu lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, which dates back to 7th century before Buddhism came to Bhutan). Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan Overnight at Paro

Day 10: Departure 

Breakfast in hotel and then drive to the airport for the flight t the next destination. See off by the guide and the driver of Bhutan Dendroium Tour and Trek
