DETAILED ITINEARY

DAY 01: ARRIVE AT PARO INTERNATIONAL AITPORT, PARO-THIMPHU

On your arrival you will be received by Guide from Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek (BDTT). And then visit National Museum (known as Ta Dzong since it has been turned into National Museum, it was the watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17th century)Paro Dzong (also known as Rinpung dzong is the venue for the annual Paro Tsechu festival held every spring).Lunch in Paro town and then transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On reaching Thimphu check in hotel. Towards the evening visit Tashichhodzong (the fortress of the glorious religion, houses the throne room of His Majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monk body).Overnight at Thimphu.

DAY 02: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING–PUNAKHA

Breakfast in hotel and visit Memorial Chorten (the stupa was built in 1974 in memory of the late his majesty the king Jigme Dorji Wang chuck) and visit Buddha point,After that visit,Changangkha Lhakhang, (the drukpa kagyu monastery on the hill top of Thimphu town). And then round Hike to Wangdi Tse Temple (built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1567) is about 1hours from the car point on the way Visit Takin Preserve at Motithang. Lunch in Town and Transfer to Punakha is about 3 hours from Thimphu via Dochula pass at 3150m; one can have a magnificent view of Eastern Himalayas on the clear weather from the pass. Further down hill drive from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley. Overnight at Punakha

DAY 03: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING-THIMPHU

Breakfast in hotel and visit Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho chu and Mo chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD). And then drive to Wangdi. On the way Hike to Chhimi Lhakhang (the monastery of fertility) on the way to Punakha, after the hike lunch in the village restaurant.After lunch visit Wangdi Phodrang dzong (built in 1638 AD by the great Zhabdrung, who unified Bhutan in 17th century).On the same route drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Thimphu

DAY 04: THIMPHU -PARO SIGHTSEEING

Breakfast in hotel and drive till the hiking point to Taktshang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), round trip hike to Taktshang monastery which is about 3-4 hours from the car point.Lunch at the cafeteria (view point). Lunch in Cafeteria and after lunch sightseeing of Drugyel dzong (the fortress in ruins built in commemoration over Tibetan invasion in 17th century). And then drive back via same route and then visit Kichu lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, which dates back to 7th century before Buddhism came to Bhutan). Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan Overnight at PARO

DAY 05: DEPARTURE

Breakfast in hotel and then drive to the airport for the flight t the next destination. See off by the guide and the driver of Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek.
